At Citrus Memorial Heart Center we want you to stay up to date on your health in order to prevent a problem before it happens. That’s why we offer a number of ongoing screening packages including preventive tests for not only your heart, but also your entire body.
Phase I: Awareness and Assessment Screening
Includes heart risk assessment questionnaire, heart health guide and report, and scheduling of next phase with a nurse (if requested).

Phase II: Cardiovascular Screening
Includes blood pressure test, body mass index evaluation, waist circumference, lipid profile (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, ratio), glucose level and educational counseling.

Phase III: Complete physical exam by Nurse Practitioner
Includes cardiovascular and comprehensive screening (all of above); review of medical history, medication review and current health; carotid arteries auscultation; electrocardiogram; educational counseling and action plan; and one follow-up visit.

As a community outreach program, insurance is not processed. Any lab work or diagnostic tests ordered are billed separately. VISA, MC, Discover, American Express and checks accepted.

Citrus Memorial is the first community hospital to partner with local EMS (Emergency Medical Services) in the U.S. to offer the revolutionary ICE (Induced Cooling by EMS) program for cardiac arrest patients. The program is so successful it’s becoming the standard of care across the country, and it’s saving a lot of lives.
