Michael Sheridan, M.D. joined the Ocala Heart and Vascular Institute in April of 2009 and started working at Citrus Memorial Hospital in May of 2009 as part of the Citrus – Ocala Heart and Vascular Institute. He completed his medical school training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and his general surgery internship/residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas; and cardio-thoracic residency at Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA (1991-1994). During his medical school and residency training years, he worked at many prestigious, well-known hospitals including the Texas Heart Institute, MD Anderson Cancer Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, Herman Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston, Texas; Breckenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas, Hahnemann University Hospital, St. Christopher's Children's' Hospital, Philadelphia, PA; and Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre.
