ICE Saves Lives
Citrus Memorial Health System and the Nature Coast EMS (Emergency Medical System) are pleased to announce that the latest treatment for cardiac arrest patients is available in Citrus County. The treatment commonly referred to as "ICE", Induced Cooling by EMS, provides the best possible chance for survival following a cardiac arrest.

Women's Heart Gives to Citrus County Schools
Our Women's Heart Program recently made a large donation to the Citrus County School Board. Funds were raised through three large events including a 5k run and walk, wine tasting and jazz concert, and a "red tie" dinner at Black Diamond Ranch.

We were the first rural community hospital in the U.S. to partner with E.M.S. to implement the ICE program to help patients survive cardiac arrest. Because of the success of programs like this, it's becoming the standard of care across the country.
The heart team has performed more than 10,000 cardiac catheterizations.
Over 1,400 open-heart surgeries have been undertaken by the center, including coronary artery bypass, valve repair and replacement.
Over 2,600 arrhythmia, vascular and thoracic surgeries have been performed since the Citrus Memorial Heart Center opened in 2004.
We have the area’s best heart attack care.
We offer the very best in diagnostic imaging to fight heart and vascular diseases.
The Citrus Memorial Heart Center has the highest percentage of heart patients who received care to open clogged coronary arteries within 90 minutes of arrival.








The Citrus County's only complete Heart Center is known for keeping up with some of the most amazing technological advancements, not to mention with big-city hospitals.
